DJ Foosh

"DJ Foosh rocked the Party." (Laurence Fishburne)

"One of my favorite memories is when the DJ took over. Everyone in their finery got down, dirty and funky. Jackets and shoes came off. There were beads of sweat on everyone, myself included." (Gina Torres)

I played at Laurence and Gina’s wedding party, stunning design work by Preston Bailey and a gorgeous setting way at the top of Manhattan in Fort Tryon Park.

Highly acclaimed Jazz Musician Jason Moran's ( wedding, a great fun affair:

"Dear Michael: Hello!! It's been over a month since our wedding and we are still on cloud nine--or should I say ten? THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking our event to the heights! From the mellow dinner music to our perfectly-cued first dance (hot, right?); from the West Coast dance mix to that crazy Texas Two Step, you had us all in the palm of your hand. I am so utterly grateful to you and your assistant for the magnificent sound quality and sensitive scoring. You did so much to help make that evening perfect. And it was--for Jason and I--perfect.

My personal thanks to you are somewhat overdue, but I did hope that my 2000 watt smile and my "party train" during the reception gave you the idea that I was pleased. Very very pleased!

And my First Dance with Jason!.I was in heaven. From "Birds in the sky.." I was transported to another, much more wonderful place. I don't know where you had the speakers in the dining room, or who cued you to start, but it was magical. And that wasn't just the champagne talking. Michael, thank you for the soundtrack to the best dances of my life. Best wishes."" Alicia Hall Moran

The funnest party in Stowe, Vermont!

"Dear Michael, I wanted to write to you on behalf of Carrie and I to say the very biggest of thank you's for doing such a magnificent job at our wedding. You were absolutely fantastic and played a huge role in contributing to the success of the day. I can't begin to explain just how much Carrie and I enjoyed ourselves. Without doubt the happiest 24hrs of our lives. Such fun in every way, particularly once the dance floor kicked off. You really did do the most wonderfully brilliant job - both Carrie and I, and indeed all of our friends and family have been raving about the music ever since. Your set was pure genius. Each and every track went down an absolute storm. Quite simply, we couldn't have hoped or asked for better. I just hope you had as much of a blast as much as we did. " Nick and Carrie

At Bronx Botanical Gardens:

"Foosh!! Needless to say, you MADE our wedding. I was so thrilled and surprised and delighted with your selections. Modern, classic and very us. You are a genius and you should also know that I have many a discerning musical friend who made particular note of your wonderful style.
I hope you enjoyed yourself a bit and I would advise every one of your future clients to let you pick all the music - it was a great decision. Hope you are well and thank you so much again from both of us (and my whole guest list!)". Sarah and Seth

A very fun wedding at Full Moon Resort in the Catskills:

"Michael, I just wanted to thank you again for the amazing job you did at our wedding! Jennifer and I had a truly unforgettable experience thanks in large part to the energy you created with your music. Our guests keep telling us it was one of the best weddings they've ever attended and our photos prove that everyone on the dance floor had a great time. Thanks again.""

From a great party in Connecticut at a gorgeous Golf resort:

"Greetings Michael, Everyone we have spoken to about the wedding mentions how great you were. "Where did you find that DJ?, he was so great" is the most commonly heard reaction to the day. Everything you played seemed to hit the right note for the guests."
Drew and Aliha

This bride organized the most beautiful wedding. It took place at Angel Orensanz Foundation, an old Synagogue on the Lower East Side:

"DJ Foosh is not a typical wedding DJ, but he was able to feel out the party and get even my grampa, who has awful arthritis, dancing. He has a state-of-the-art sound system and backup plans to boot. He was FANTASTIC--I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who has a "hip" sense of music, yet wants to please the older folks, and does not want a lot of microphone talk."
Alison and Wim

The Union Club on Park Avenue:

"Hi Michael-- Just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for our Jan. 24th wedding. You were absolutely great and everyone was quite complimentary on the music! I'm sending a check today to John for the overtime. We appreciate you staying a little late. Thank you for everything, and please feel free to use me as a reference anytime."
Best regards, Lisa

This was a very fun wedding out in Nyack:

"Hi Foosh! I'm just writing to again thank you for doing such a great job at our wedding. We really had a great time. We have gotten lots of great feedback and everyone agrees that the music was great! We thank you for being a part of a really special time for us. Please feel free to use us as a reference. We would be more than glad to help out. Also, how is your new restaurant coming along? Let us know, we love to go out for dinner and/or drinks. All the best, Thank you."
Cara and Joe

I did Eli's wedding after he sent me this e-mail:

"Hi DJ Foosh, A friend of mine JJ had you DJ at his 30th birthday party two and a half years ago, and I spent the entire night dancing up a storm and sweating through a pair of leather pants. Now I'm throwing my first big party and I'm looking for someone who spins good dance music that isn't all trance and is recognizable to a somewhat dorky crowd of people, including some popular dance music from as far back as the 70s. That night a few years ago still stands out as one of my favorites, so I figured I'd track you down. Thanks,"  Eli

So much obliged to Lucy & Francesco..
